Setting up Sonar 7 (part 2) |
Once in Sonar, the default project should look like this:
We will clean everything up before beginning the second part of our configuration. Extend the main track column all the way to the right by dragging the border next to the view meters) since we only need that column (be carefull to keep the "elevator" on the right). Also click and hold the light blue line (over the tabs) and drag it up to reveal the Master-Metronome-Effect Send 1 bus. Finally, delete the 2 MIDI tracks. (Right click | Delete track) Now insert Hauptwerk VSTi: INSERT | Soft Synths | Crumhorn labs Hauptwerk VSTI Plug-In | Hauptwerk 64bit
By dragging the lower part of the Hauptwerk track (track 4 in our example) and clicking the ALL tab you should see something like this:
Make sure that the MIDI INPUT (in yellow) is correctly set. For our setup, we don't need to set the other parameters. Now we will insert Pristine Space to the Effect Send 1 bus. Click on the FX tab; drag the lower border of the Effect track until you see the FX Box on the right side of the track. Right click in the FX BOX and select AUDIO FX | VSTI (Voxengo Pristine Space). You may optionally delete the Metronome track (right click | delete track)
Pristine Space will open. Click the X to close it for the moment. We will return to it in a few minutes. Your screen should look something like this. Note that the last icon ))) of track 4 is yellow. If it's not, click on it to turn it on. For the toolbars click VIEWS | TOOLBARS and untick everything except "C. Transport"
